The filter was installed perfectly and started without any problems. It features the VW logo, UFI branding and a 'Made in Germany' stamp, if you choose to trust that. Unlike the original UFI filter, which was made in China, this one is made in Germany. After 90,000 miles, the old filter released a lot of brownish-grey fuel. It was clearly overdue for replacement.
